SelectX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is rapidly
establishing itself as a leader in applied biosynthesis, combinatorial
genetics, and directed evolution for the exploitation of molecular diversity
and complexity in small molecules for drug discovery. The Company focuses
its drug discovery and development on antimicrobial and anticancer therapeutics. SelectX has developed
four complementary
platform technologies: (1) Directed Discovery™ – an integrated molecular
genetics/bioinformatics/biochemical platform for lead compound discovery;
(2) ComGene™ – combinatorial genetics-based lead compound molecular
diversity engine; and (3) DART™ – discovery and characterization of
antibiotic resistance prior to clinical emergence. With the
full deployment of these platforms, the Company’s proprietary
preclinical pipeline is growing rapidly. In stark contrast to most
natural product-like discovery approaches, a unique advantage to SelectX is
that product scale–up has been built into the core of the Company's
discovery platform.

From its inception, SelectX's technical strategy has
focused on exploiting applied biosynthesis, combinatorial genetics, and
directed discovery of novel, high-potential lead compounds.

Company's technical strategy is the application of its three revolutionary platform technologies
to efficiently
discover, screen, and characterize potentially valuable small molecules.
This increased efficiency results in up to a 70% reduction in both the time and cost of
drug discovery. In addition to the inherent value of these technologies, is the
value of their product - high quality lead compound libraries with unmatched molecular
diversity, the key to both the medicinal potential and subsequent value of any lead
compound library.
SelectX's proprietary technology
platforms form the foundation for the Company's in-house drug discovery program which is
focused on novel antiinfective, anticancer, and cardiovascular lead
compounds. As part of this program, the Company is also pursuing the
accurate prediction of antibiotic resistance prior to clinical emergence and
subsequent strategies for overcoming the rapidly mounting problems of drug
resistance.
