Streptomyces
Molecular Biologist
Candidate will be a part of a project team
focused on cloning and characterization of Streptomyces
genomic DNA. Position will involve genomic DNA preparation and purification,
cloning of large (20-40KB) segments of DNA, and subsequent analysis of
clones. Position will also involve the characterization of transformants
with novel activities related to genetic diversity, via interaction with
chemistry and fermentation groups.
BS/MS with at
least 2 years experience working with Streptomyces.
Demonstrated ability in general aspects of Streptomyces molecular
biology including transformation, cloning, genomic library construct,
library maintenance, heterologous protein expression, as well as excellent
troubleshooting skills is essential.
Basic molecular biology skills including restriction digest,
ligation, PCR, transformation of E. coli, gel electrophoresis are
also necessary. Experience with phage
packaging and library construction in E. coli considered a plus.

Natural
Products Chemist
BS/MS
focusing on compound isolation, characterization, dereplication, and
structure elucidation for drug discovery support. Experience
in separation science, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, biological
sample preparation, and relevant software/databases is required.
Experience in interpretation of mass spectra
and other spectroscopic techniques is also required. Excellent
oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively
interact within a multidisciplinary team environment are essential.

Molecular Biology
- Research
Associates
BS/MS degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or
related field with relevant experience. Basic experience in gene cloning
and expression, PCR, and microbiology is required. Additional knowledge
and experience in homologous recombination is a plus. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate excellence in technical skills, judgment,
attention to detail, and ability to organize work effectively in the
lab. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to
effectively interact within a multidisciplinary team environment is also
